Max Neiger Egyptian Revival Brooch
1920’s, Egyptian Revival brooch by Max Neiger, (Neiger Bros Max and Norbert), made in Czechoslovakia. The brothers did not use a makers mark as they didn’t see the need. In Czechoslovakia only items made from silver and gold were required to be marked. Neiger Brothers brooch features are saw tooth bezel, roping around cabs, filigree reverse, mushroom beads - metal bead caps, flour de lis and Bohemian Czech glass. The Egyptian revival theme, 1922 followed the discovery of Tutankhamun’s Tomb.
Approx. 6cm wide x 3.5cm high x 0.5cm deep x 20g weight. Very fine condition.
