1920 British Chad Valley Teddy Bear
1918-1920, ‘Bilton’, this gorgeous, antique teddy bear is thought to be an early example of a chad Valley bear during an experimental period in the early 1920’s. He has metal button joints and many original features like that of a Chad. The French often had external joints. Bilton has a front final seam which points away from Chad. Bilton is looking for a new forever home and needs a little restoration. He is adorably dressed in a leather apron and made of mohair blond fabric. Approx. 24cm wide x 46cm high x 16cm deep x 660g weight. Very good condition, growl not working with wear to fur and woodwool showing on one foot pad.
